James Wade Wilson, MD, is a board-certified pulmonologist and critical care specialist who has been providing expert respiratory care to the Plano community since joining Southwest Pulmonary Associates in 2011. With extensive training and a deep commitment to his patients, Dr. Wilson offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment for a broad spectrum of pulmonary conditions, including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and sleep-related breathing disorders.
Dr. Wilson earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He went on to complete his medical degree, residency in Internal Medicine, and fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas—one of the nation’s leading academic medical institutions.
Triple board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Wilson brings advanced knowledge and skill to both inpatient and outpatient settings. He is known for his thorough approach to diagnosis, personalized treatment plans, and a focus on long-term wellness and improved quality of life for his patients.
